Cultivating Stewardship. Servant Leadership. Hope. Purpose. Faith. Community. Harvesting Restoration

Growing Hope in Local Soil

We partner with schools, families, churches, and community organizations to transform gardens into living classrooms where children discover purpose, develop leadership, and learn to care for Themselves, God’s creation, & Their Communities

Our Mission

Rooted in Faith and Community

Imagine what could happen if every child had the opportunity to grow

Not just academically…

But physically, Socially, Emotionally, As a leader, As a neighbor, and As a person with purpose.

Every child deserves the opportunity to discover their potential, develop meaningful life skills, and grow in an environment where they are encouraged to learn, serve, and lead.

At GCC , we believe lasting community transformation begins by investing in children.

Our faith shapes why we serve.

We believe every child is created with dignity, purpose, and the ability to make a meaningful difference in the world.

That belief motivates us to love our neighbors, care for creation, serve our communities, and invest in the next generation with excellence and compassion.

While our mission is rooted in Christian values, we are committed to building partnerships with organizations that share our desire to help children and communities flourish.

Why This Matters

Communities are strongest when children have positive mentors, meaningful opportunities to learn, safe places to belong, and a chance to contribute to something bigger than themselves.

Across St. Joseph County

• Nearly 1 in 5 children experiences food insecurity.

• Nearly 3 in 10 children in South Bend live in poverty.

Many families have limited access to fresh, healthy foods and safe outdoor learning opportunities. These challenges can affect children’s & communities health, academic success, and long-term well-being.

Together, we can help change that!

"The LORD God planted a garden in Eden, toward the east, where he placed the man whom he had formed." Genesis 2:8

Our Vision

Children are equipped to grow in purpose, confidence, and responsibility.

Families are supported and strengthened through Community.

Schools and community organizations collaborate for lasting student success.

Neighborhoods are renewed through service, learning, and care for creation.

Overlooked spaces become active classrooms that bring learning to life.

Young people develop into leaders who positively shape their communities.

Rooted in the promise of Isaiah 61, we seek to bring restoration, renewal, and hope where it is needed most, so communities can flourish for generations.
